Charlie is a 5 year old, neutered male Lab mix. He originally was a stray from a shelter in Alabama, so we have very little information about him. He does do fine with the dogs he’s been housed with, but beyond that we don’t know about his interactions with kids or cats. Charlie is a sweet boy who likes to converse with you when you are paying attention to him. He has been here since 5/7.

Muffy is a 2 ½ year old, unspayed female Rottweiler mix. She was brought here because her former owner’s husband died, and the owner did not feel she could handle Muffy on her own. Muffy is good with kids over the age of 2. She also seems to be fine with other dogs since she has done just fine with her roommates. We don’t know how she reacts to cats. Muffy has been here since 7/18.

Shy is a 2 year old, unspayed female Pit. She was brought here because her former landlord would not allow her to stay there. She is housebroken and good with other dogs. We don’t know how she reacts to cats. She LOVES kids. Shy, as her name suggests, is a little shy at first, but very sweet and likes to cuddle. She has been here since 6/9.

Copperfield (38306)
Copperfield is a year old, neutered male Lab mix. Copperfield came to us on 3/25/2010 as one of 165 animals that were rescued from an “animal sanctuary” in Mississippi that was actually a hoarding situation. The SPCA of Central Florida took in 19 of those animals. When local and national agents got to the “sanctuary” they found deplorable conditions. The animals were scared, unsocialized, and many were underfed. Because of his background, he is a little shy at first and can be startled by loud noises. Once he warms up though, he is a VERY sweet, affectionate boy. He is playful and likes lots of companionship. We have very little information about whether he is housebroken or good with cats. He has been living in a kennel with another dog, so he is fine with them. Copperfield had been adopted out but was brought back because the person did not have the time necessary to properly care for him. Copperfield needs a caring and loving home with people who are willing to spend the time with him that is needed for him to become the spectacular dog we here all know he is. Copperfield has been here again since 8/28.
